change the CPU port

peters Posts: 122 Rating: (4)	[:(]dear experts: there are two projects in my company which controlled by CPU "416-2 dp"and "317T-2 dp",for cpu 416-2 we can configure the MPI/DP port to MPI or DP in the netpro,but the two ports of the CPU 317T-2 dp have already been configured as profibus and can not be changed,(first port:MPI/DP,SECOND PORT:DP/DRIVE),i don't know why.

The first port (X1) is a standard SIMATIC MPI/DP port. It can be changed to MPI (which is the standard definition) The second port (X2) Port is controlled by the technology-part of the T-CPU. It's fixed to PROFIBUS (DP-DRIVE) and can not be changed to MPI.
