Thanks everybody, with the help of you all and SIEMENS CS, I got a PG740, replaced a harddisk with DOS6.22, installed COMET200 V4.2, made a configuration for IM308B, and programed the EPROM. Then, I had a test with IM308B in S5-115U and S5-155U, CBP2 in 6RA70. everything was OK! Thanks everybody. One another problem is: I have not a PG740, I only have a Field PG, how can I use the Field PG to program the EPROM for IM308B? I had replace the Field PG's hard disk with another hard disk which had installed DOS 6.22 and COMET200 V4.2. COMET200 works very well, but it cannot program the EPROM (it displays: "Wrong submodule or no submodule plugged in"). It seems that the Field PG cannot drive the programmer (S5Prog. Adapter 6ES7798-0CA00-0XA0). Can the Field PG program the EPROM for IM308B under COMET200? Thank you |

Dear rscgh, as far as I know is the Field PG M capable, with the S5 Adaptor,of handling CMOS EPROMS as the IM 308 B uses. The only issue I could imagine of is the use of STEP 5 that can handle COM ET 200. The Version delivered with the Field PG is usually up to date, so it will not handle COM ET 200. You will have to use MS-DOS and a version about V 6.6 of STEP 5 to handle COM ET 200, as far as I remember. [] If someone has a better idea please post it. [:xxx:] Best regards J_Bell |
