read and write to the S7 1200 CPU with Modbus TCP

Hello, I am an experienced software engineer (with little PLC experience) who has been asked to develop and application to read and write to the S7 1200 CPU. I'm told other modules may later be added to this CPU. Question 1. Is Modbus TCP a good way to go here ? Question 2. I want to use C# on the PC side. Is there any documentation or example code to help me get started ? Is there a tutorial or video which will help me breakground? Thank you Jim Splitted from S7-1200 & Modbus TCP. |
