S7-300 Software redundancy without IM153-3

automatinglego Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Hi; I want to try software rudandancy without IM153-3.Firstly is it possible? I ordered the IM153-3 but I will not get it within at lesat 3 weeks. So I want to try wincc-plc communication and its performance. I changed the parameters bold and underlined in the example program Swr-300-mini OB100 as below. Because I use the MPI port on the CPU,I have no CP and NO LADDR address. What should LADDR be?. Also I dont have IM153-3 and What should SLAVE_NO and SLAVE_LEN be?. Most of the SWR tricks appears during the HOT test nothing appears in the Simulation. So I recommend to have all the used products in hand the start your test till this you can read lots of threads in this forum concerning the problems of SWR. Best Regards

I don't think it's possible to get SWR working without having at least 2 ET200M with active bus unit (Red. Bundle) + I/O module. To test WinCC communication. Insert screen blocks and declare the 4 required tags in WinCC application. These 4 tags are extracted from both control and status words. You don't have to write complete user program to test WinCC-PLC communication. You can do little test by modifying status and control words from a variable table. automatinglego Because I use the MPI port on the CPU,I have no CP and NO LADDR address. What should LADDR be?. When you use MPI ports for redundant link, the LADDR for CP is irrelevant, just leave it 256. automatinglego Also I dont have IM153-3 and What should SLAVE_NO and SLAVE_LEN be?. SLAVE_LEN :=0 I haven't find something in manual stating that ZERO is not accepted but I think it's not accepted. SLAVE_DISTANCE can't be 0. It must be either 1 or 2. You might have area length error when reading even if you have ET200M installed. I think this FAQ might help you http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/2812567 Take care of the following (has been extracted from SWR manual) 1.12 Data Blocks DB_WORK_NO, DB_SEND_NO and DB_RCV_NO You specify data blocks DB_WORK_NO, DB_SEND_NO and DB_RCV_NO when defining the parameters of FC 100 ‘SWR_START’. Function These data blocks are used exclusively for storing internal data. Important Note! The data blocks detailed above are generated once only at startup by FC 100 ‘SWR_START’ with the required length. If you alter the parameters of FC 100 ‘SWR_START’, alterations to the data blocks are normally required as well. For that reason, you should delete all the old data blocks so that new data blocks of the required length can be generated at startup.If you change the parameter settings of FC 100 ‘SWR_START’ and do not delete the data blocks,malfunctions may occur.
