Tips for SM 1231 Thermocouple Signal Module - Wiring and Diagnose

Hi, Some customers have related that the module SM 1231 Thermocouple Signal Module 6ES7 231-5QD0 sometimes doesn’t show correctly the wirebreak diagnose. In this state, (with wirebreak) the module shows random values instead of fault state. The probable cause of it is high electromagnetically interference. In this context we suggested (with success) to review the electrical installation generally (to prevent the causes) and jump M, Earth, 0-, 1-, 2- and 3- (See Attached file), despite of contends of the specific manual (http://support.automation.siemens.com/BR/view/en/43346826 page 4). |
