Two pressure sensors to S7-1214C onboard AI?

Alfa Posts: 24 Rating: (1)	Anyone knows is it possible connect two 3-wire (or 4-wire) pressure sensors to 1214 onboard analog inputs? Or do i need two 2-wire pressure sensors? Connection picture would be nice.

Alfa Posts: 24 Rating: (1)	Signal is 0-10V. Distance is about 5m. Just wanna know is it possible to connect two pressure sensors to onboard AI or do i have to buy extra AI-card? And i haven´t bought these pressure sensors yet.

Denilson Pegaia Platinum Expert Joined: 9/23/2005 Last visit: 11/11/2024 Posts: 4351 Rating: (1452)	Hi, the S7-1200 has 2 Analog Inputs that could be used to measure 0-10V. Each sensor should send 2 wires to the CPU (signal + and signal -). The Signal - of the modules should be interconnected to the M of the CPU. Where this jumps will be done (near the device, near de CPU or directly in the CPU connectors) is irrelevant for this distances. The sensor supplyes should be given separatly, (but M's should be always interconected). Three or four wire signals (to conpensate the loss of voltage along the wires) is unnecessary with this distances.

Why are the inputs not configurable to 4-20 direct rather than 0-20??? I am from a Pharma back ground and all our Tx's are typically 4 - 20mA.
