Hello fjm20, - Maybe the best thing to do, would be to open a new ticket, adding all the information about this scenario. Than, please list the steps the user does, also what is wished. Usually, the scenario is the following: working in COMOS, needs/uses a license. To give the license back to the CLS, it is necessary to close the whole app/COMOS itself, not only closing the reports and so on. I guess that: - if the users pulls a license working in COMOS - they save everything they have done in COMOS - they close the app/COMOS like usual - there would be no issues with pulled licenses, but the users are not working anymore in COMOS. Wrong: shutting down the PC/Notebook even if the apps are not closed yet. Would you agree? So, maybe the solution would be to ask the users to close the app/COMOS as soon they do not need the license anymore. Like that, you may need no script at all, like the other users/companies I heard about. On the other hand, if you wait ~ 10 Min., the CLS will "know" that the client is not working anymore as the hearthbeats does not gets replied anymore, so the CLS will release the license for other users; This, in case you have floating licenses, not NamedUsers ones. (You may see this information in the license file, but please do not edit it, otherwise the sig. will be not OK anymore).
- Instead of a ticket at the Support, you may also discuss this scenario with the salesperson, to check which and how many licenses and users you have there... up to you. Have a great day, all the best, SuperPippo |
