Hi, some general basics regarding synchronus motor you can find via Internet, e.g. Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synchronous_motor For an accurate behaviour an encoder with enough strokes is very important. Best case a sin/cos encoder because the controller interpolate the strokes and thereforethe motorachieve a very high precision. The inertia is less compare with an asynchronous motor. That help for a fast reaction time. The inductance is usually less as well. That is positive for a short control rise time. |
