The SQL instance 'WinCC' is not running or is not available." I tried completely uninstalling TIA Portal V17, including Runtime Professional and all SQL services, and then reinstalling everything from scratch, but the problem persists. I also formatted the PC and reinstalled everything, but opening a new project with Runtime Professional doesn't change the situation. Doing some research, I found that some solve the problem by opening SQL Server Configuration Manager and restarting the service. However, when I try to do it myself, I get another error. Would anyone know how to help me? Attached you will find the image of the error I receive when I try to restart the service. Hi everyone,

Hi,

It seems that the installation of the SQL Server instance is not being entirely successful.

Please see the FAQ below to uninstall the SQL instance:

Upgrading WinCC Professional & SQL Server

Afterwards, you could try to Repair the Runtime Professional installation to install (as local administrator and antivirus disabled) the SQL instance again.

I think its because you use a not released combination of TIA and OS

Install the latest Update for your TIA Portal V17 only With update 7 or newer the new Win11 Releases are compatible with TIA V17

(Infos you can find in the compatibility tool/Lists)
