Hi everyone, when I open an existing project or create a new one with the same version and start a simulation, the following error appears: "Compilation not possible. The SQL instance 'WinCC' is not running or is not available." I tried completely uninstalling TIA Portal V17, including Runtime Professional and all SQL services, and then reinstalling everything from scratch, but the problem persists. I also formatted the PC and reinstalled everything, but opening a new project with Runtime Professional doesn't change the situation. Doing some research, I found that some solve the problem by opening SQL Server Configuration Manager and restarting the service. However, when I try to do it myself, I get another error. Would anyone know how to help me? Attached you will find the image of the error I receive when I try to restart the service. Thanks so much in advance! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hi, It seems that the installation of the SQL Server instance is not being entirely successful. Please see the FAQ below to uninstall the SQL instance: Upgrading WinCC Professional & SQL Server Afterwards, you could try to Repair the Runtime Professional installation to install (as local administrator and antivirus disabled) the SQL instance again. |
A rating will be well appreciated. |
