Values are different from PLC & HMI

Axel Foley Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Dear experts, The values my PLC is reading are different from the values after sending them to HMI and visualize them with a trend view graph. But when I just use a I/O field its again the correct value from the PLC. I call the same DataBlock for the values, but they just come out different (267 mV instead of 272 mV). Does anyone have a suggestion for my problem? Why do the values differ from each other when they are called from the same data block? I use WinCC Comfort and an TP900 Panel. Thank you very much in advance.

If necessary compile (all) the PLC SW and the HMI. Check if there is no other part of the programa overwriting the variable (for example a bool overwriting part ofthe integer value).

Axel Foley Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	There are no errors or warnings when I compile the Step 7 Basic or the WinCC Comfort programming. I already checked the address, seems like nothing is overwriting the value. See attached the screenshot of all my HMI tags. Attachment Adress.JPG (641 Downloads)

0_Einstein Diamond Member Joined: 7/7/2010 Last visit: 11/11/2024 Posts: 15388 Rating: (2443)	Axel Foley WinCC Comfort: V11 + SP2 Step 7 Basic V10.5 SP2 The correct answer would be something like: WinCC V10.5 x Step 7 Basic V10.5 x -or- WinCC V11 SP2 Step 7 Basic V11 SP2 Mixing the versions is going to cause problems as some things were adjusted. Check the release notes and you'll see some data types were adjusted and perhaps even some things have different byte order (high and low bytes may be reversed?).

But now the question is why it is possible to display the correct value on an I/O field but not in a trend view when the data is already in the HMI? I somehow cant upgrade Step 7 Basic, is it possible to downgrade WInCC Comfort to 10.5? Thanks all of you for your help!

You can upgrade Step7 Basic to Step7 Professional. You can not downgrade from WinCC V11 to V10.5 You can delete the folder IM in your project. Now you generate the project new and you test the project again. Tweety
