Communication between wincc and s5

Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	Thought that you ment that. If you are communicating on the S5through ethernet, you should be able to communicate through a normal ethernet card within your pc. You have to use softnet for this. And the channel in WinCC: Simatic S5 Ethernet Driver 4.chn Good luck, with regards, Ikkezelf

Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	Strange, I thought that the S5 Channel was a standard channel in WinCC. Open WinCC Explorer -> right mouse click on "Tag Management" -> choose "Add new Driver". Now select the S5 ethernet channel driver. Please correct me when I'm wrong. with regards, ikkezelf

A man of Siemens (spanish Hotline) told me that the communication with Wincc 5 is possible but with Wincc 6 isn't possible. Ihave founda CP1613 and I will try with this because I haven't much time. Thank you for your response
