akrouwel Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello I'm trying to use an OCI700 interface to talk to an LMS14 boiler controller, but I can't find any support documentation for the OCI700 interface. There's a catalogue page for it (https://eb.automation.siemens.com/mall/en/ua/Catalog/Product/?mlfb=BPZ%3aOCI700.1) but all of the support links are dead ends. Does anyone know where I might find some documentation for the OCI700? Thanks, Andy Krouwel Mobile Developer Cognito Ltd. Update: The following document reference numbers have been mentioned: CE1N5655 : OCI700.1 - This document however details the physical characteristics of the interface, not what software protocol is needed to communicate over the USB. There is also: CE1N5641 : ACS790 - This document tells you about some PC software that uses the interface, but again nothing about the communication over the USB. It's the bit in between that I need to know about - what numbers/characters do I need to send to the OCI700 to get it to pass it over the interface. The device is physically connected, and the PC software is not useful as it doesn't run on the Windows CE device I'm using.

The communication from LMS14 via OCI700 to ACS790 is BSB and this is not an open standard. BSB is a Siemens proprietary BUS protocol between the Engineering tool, HMI, room units and IO modules and the controller. Siemens Support

ISSP Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Thanks, TINOT, I am using QAX903-OCI700-Win. It's proprietay as well? The funny story, that with ETS4 it works OK, but ACS cannot find it. For sure I changed adress on QAX from 255 to some other to open communication. E

LMS14 communicateover BSB (proprietary) or over OCI345 LPB bus via OCI700 to ACS790 software. 2. QAX903, Synco Living controller, communicate over KNX via OCI700 to ACS790 software. You need minimum ACS790 version v8.20. Your Siemens Support.

ISSP Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Dear TINOT, I have version 8.24.010 and when I try to connect I am receiving message - No connection to the communication program. Restart ACS or reinstall ACS. In the ACS connection dialog we connected direct to the device: Plant > Plant properties > "Device at OCI700" Which error message do you get? Tinot
