can anyone help me to create custom M code ( other than M0 to M99) in 840d powerline.

I hope that you have experience in 840D PLC programming.

If my memory says me right you can create up to 256 M-functions with extended address.

Briefly saying, you should setup Decoding List (DB75) and Signal List (DB76), also you should create Function Call with M-code routine. More information you will find in attached document.

m853 is related to channel two .

Plc block does not have db 21 nor 22. But it does have db 25 to 30.

I show you another way to make extented M function usin DB21 (CH1) see picture attached

tips: make NC program run M11=05 , then check DB21 areas in the picture attached. you will see binary code, you make PLC program according the code

M code is easy to use --only have less than 100

Extented M code you can have more but you need self decode program (PLC)

i checked running Plc backup , there is DB21.But in original plc backup , OEM HAS DELETED IT.

 Hi, please share OEM name, can you contact them. I never know DB21 can be delete. it is one of Siemens standard NC-PLC interface DB, I don't think you machine will be working without DB21

one question do you machine use any M function , such as M08,M09, ....

DB21 does not have to be present in the PLC project. 
There the DB21 can be referenced via the symbol
table with the UDT. 
The DB21 is then created by the GP when the PLC boots up. 

The OEM didn't do anything wrong.

how can i trace M853 in 840d powerline?

M853 perform action like moving axillary axis( WPY,WPX,WPZ) to part changing position and clamping of job in loading area and loading to machining area and so on.

i  wanted to changed loading position of WPZ ( which i changed  via db196) . Though wpz is moving to changed loading position but its not clamping the job. WPZ moves to changed loading posting and wait without any alarm.

When i try to run programme in single block, it stops at M853 ( As M853 involves so many operation so i cant figure out exact reason)

so 1thing i want to lean about how to trace m853.

Then to find the reason why its not clamping the job.
