I have two ques, first is how to download setup of "winpcin"(pls share any link to download)

Second ques is how to use this software(i.e how can I transfer NC files to sinumeric 810D).

Third and last is" Is this the right software to download NC files to sinumeric drive? I have already transfer the PLC backup in sinumeric using simatic manager.

THANKS For the information about WINPCIN, but before purchasing software, I want to make sure about which software required exactly. I have following models or part no. pls also check pix.

Secondly I am little bit confuse about Sinumeric(I am new on it), its a cotroller and I have already downloaded Its backup through simatic manager in it. Now where to download NC files? Either in sinumeric controller or in HMI?(i.e HMI and sinumeric should have their separate backups?) . Plz also suggest the software for HMI and WINPCIN will be use for transfer NC files?

From your attached pictures, 3A & 4A are of CNC controller i.e. 810D. You can back up your data on to it or on memory card. (I see in picture, memory card slot is open.)

Or with RS232 port + cable + WinPCIN software you can take back up of data on external device like PG/PC.

Your picture 5A is of E/R module i.e. it converts AC power supply to DC & fed to 611 drives + fed supply to control module. It is not supposed to store any data.

HMI is a software which is display information/data/ etc. etc. on OP i.e. it is Human Machine Interface (HMI). It is not for to store any back up.

From your description it looks like you have loaded PLC back up, (Simatic manager Step 7 is for Siemens PLC software). Also your PLC is in fault mode, i.e. its SF, BF RED LED are ON & communication is interupted. 

So my suggestion to you is, if you are not really much familiar with data communication, please get help from OEM or from nearest Siemens service support & reload the data. Or else in trial & error method, good back up data which you have, may got corrupted or deleted.

NC data contains various machine related information e.g. general NC specific data, channel data, axis specific data, tool data & intialization files (INI) requires for operation of inetrnal softwares which is not included in machine PLC logic. This back up data is required to restore machine back into oepration in case if any data gets corrupt or lost due to battery failure or in case of replacement of data storage hardware items.

Please check type of MMC or PCU installed on your machine & does it has RS232 port. If yes, check below points. 

You need WinPCIN software, PG/PC with RS232 port (USB to RS232 adaptor may help you) & communication cable.

Please refer attached sheets, which expalin cable connection & step by step procedure for data back up & restore. (Courtesy - Siemens technical forum member)

If your MMC does not support RS232, then you need to back up your NC data on PCMCIA card installed on NCU.

It is for me the 1st time to know your machine --not use SINUMERIK HMI But SIMATIC OP to control your CNC, I just think "TOS' they made good HMI to operate your 810D.

You need find from manual (TOS manaul ) how make data back up and restore.

You cannot transfer NC file without OP or HMI, even you can transfer PLC program from SIMATIC Manager in Your PC/PG.

Now I think you main problem is not "WinPCIN" you need find out how to use OP27 to transfer in/out your NC data (where is your NC data?) if your you know this --you can use any Software for transfer data by RS232 port. such as get one from CAD/CAM

BUT WinPCIN is the best one for Siemens 840D/810D

Thanks, and Dear I am very much familiar with hmi plc and all this stuff, For now I am just confused about sinumeric , as i said I have already downloaded (Transfer to Controller) Logic into the sinumeric controller and its not in Fault Mode any more. Run Light is green. Now what about NC files, which software I should purchase for the transfer of NC files into the controller. and whats the procedure. why this drives require Separate NC files (other than logic).
