Manual Switch-over of 2 IM153-2

Import-User-1 Posts: 3609 Rating: (29)	Hello, I have a configuration with 2 CPU-416-2DP each with his IM153-2 in the same ET200M. I know that these IM’s are redundant and thus in case of failure the other will become active. Between the 2 CPU’s I have a software redundancy link running, but in some case I don’t want to use this redundancy link. In this case the master CPU will control the process and the other CPU will not be used or will run a different kind of program! In case of a failure on the master CPU I absolutely don’t wont the IM to switch-over!! Can I prevent this in any way? IF NOT: Is it in any way possible to make the slave IM master, without deactivating the master IM? I know I can deactivate an IM by means of the SFC-12 and when I do this the other IM becomes the master. But this only works on an internal DP and I would like to use an external DP, is there a possibility to do this? Kind Regards, Guido Raeymaekers
