S7 - Meaning of LEDs S7-400H

Muthu Posts: 17 Rating: (2)	Hi all, i am using s7-400h configuration with 20 no. of im 157.(-0XA82-).Now my configuration is over and there is no BUSF.But i am getting REDF and EXTF(I know the EXTF fault is due to Slave.). Can any body give some idea about this fault. Thanks in advance.

The LED "REDF" says that someting with the redundance isn't ok. The LED "EXTF" says that there is a probleme outside of the CPU. Your allready said that you think that there are problems with your slaves. Please have a look to the diagnostic puffer of the CPU and the hardware diagnostic. There you will find informations about the status of the slaves. Hope you will find this informations using STEP 7, clicking in your project the CPU right and then I think PLC. Sorry, at home I don't have STEP 7. So I can't tell you the way exaktly. [:(] Here are links to documents how may help you to make your Hardwareconfiguration running: Automation System S7-400H Fault-tolerant Systems Programmable Controllers S7 F/FH LED error displays with H-CPUs I don't know, which MLFB your CPU has. Late Platinum Expert Joined: 1/7/2006 Last visit: 11/17/2023 Posts: 2705 Rating: (318)	Hi Muthu, Have you looked in the diagnostic buffer why the redundancy is gone (REDF LED), it must be something in the field (EXTF LED), to find that quick please look online in the hardware configuration! If there are still all kind of errors then the diagnostic buffer won't give the dropout of the redundancy any more because the buffer is a FIFO buffer. [:o] If the buffer have still the dropout of the redundancy in it, save it then as soon as possible so that I may have a look to it when you don't know where to look for. (give me then a email address so that I may contact you). Best regards, Late
