Yes that's normal. The reader doesn't need to be projected. It only appears in TIA selection tool. To configure the reader you need to install PCT (Port Configuration Tool). You can then open PCT from HW-Config of the CM. This might also help you: |

Thanks! I understand what you are saying, but can I also configure it without the S7-PCT?(see attachment) |

Nope, you'll need the PCT: You'll also need a IODD file for the RF240R to import it into PCT: I suggest you to follow the description from the application example to configure the hardware. |

If your IO-Link master has the newest firmware (V2.2) you'll need to install PCT 3.5. But the update is for free so why hesitate to install the newest version? |

It Worked, restarted the VM! so I only need to install IODD now and than it should work perfectly ? |
