Cursorkeys without the ESC button

BartCaers Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I think of the cursor keys as a nice way to set/change paramers, but it bugs me to no extend that you simultaniously have to press the ESC butten every time. Ibelieve to haveread that siemens hadchanged this "problem" with the introduction of the TD! display but this doesn't seem to be the fact (tried it). So is there any way of using the cursor keys to interac with the program withoutthe ESC button? Thx in advance... Bart

BartCaers Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	As I feared. Thatbrings me to my final resort; disconnect and drill away the TD! cursorbuttons, replace them with pushbuttons,and connect theseto the DI's. Well there are some spare ones on the RC module anyway... Grtz, Bart

BartCaers Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Indeed. But even if the function buttuns wheren't already in use I still would want to be able to use the 4 cursor keys in an easy fashion. Iunderstand the benefits ofa "two handed" operation, but if you want a smooth HMI you should be able to disable this function. Even if this meant that you would not be able to changethe parameters through the display. Well that's how I see it anyway...

cdrshort Bronze Member Joined: 9/6/2008 Last visit: 3/29/2024 Posts: 134 Rating: (16)	we hop that SIEMENS give us the posibility to have the choice to disable the use of esc at td at least. i think it will be usefullformany of users! in any casei had similar "problems" and the solution that found ,was the creation of progmram -s with diferent" text mesage operation panels". movement of 3axes in driling machines . 1 "tmop"for turet" z 1 for travel x 1 for travel y use 3 di for select the 1 from 3 blocks .just i was using les di with this solution.
