In previous threads about cursor keys the common response to making cursors behave properly is to hold escape+cursor. A little annoying but useable however this only seems to work when on the screen with the cursor indicator. Any other screen just causes the TDE to flicker between the menu and the default diagnostic screens. 

Is there anyway to make the escape behaviour work regardless of screen.. or even better just make them work as they do in logosoft. Ideally I just want them to behave exactly the same way as the function keys.

If it's not possible I'll just add external controls but it would be nice if it is possible.

 it says 0BA0 on the front, only bought it a couple of months ago from RS for something to play with. If you are on the correct screen (which says ESC+C at the top and depicts the cursors) ESC+Cursor works fine, just any other screen causes it to flick between the menu and the screen its on. 

As I said I can work around it but if I'd known the cursors wouldn't behave as expected I probably wouldn't have bought the TDE. (up down left right were going to control my workshop lights until I fit sensors so that the lights follow me round the workshop)  I'm already using F1-4 to open solenoid locks on my tool cabinets and switch transformers on. Mind you i'll almost certainly find some fun stuff to do with the screen.

I don't think you have a 0BA0. It would be a LOGO! 8.2 whose article number ends with 0BA0.

Since the LOGO! 8.2 Siemens has changed something on the cursor keys when using the ESC key. It is no longer possible to keep the ESC key pressed in conjunction with a cursor key.

I don't know why, I can only guess. It must have something to do with the keys' debouncing.

 Yes 6ED1052-2MD08-0BA0 on the logo!, 6ED1055-4MH08-0BA0 on the TDE and logosoft 8.2.

Still, if the answer is that the cursors don't work that way I'll just put some external switches on, have to admit I didn't realise it was an 8.2 version, I just bought the starter kit from RS to play with as work has been slow and I thought a vastly over engineered light switch would pass some time and be a fun project.

What you mean is the article number. If your case it 6ED-1052-XXX08-0BA0. The marked part "08" indicates that there is a LOGO! 0BA8, called LOGO! 8.2.

It's a LOGO! 0BA8, device series LOGO! 8.2.
