Subnet = Network, it can be MPI, Profibus or Profinet for example Rack = PLC rack SM = Signal module (I/O like input, output, analog...) FM = Function Module (Counter module or positioning module for example) IM = Interface Module |

Thank you Towome, Let me brief what I understood if a device is connected behind Profibus/Profinet network then I can consider that one as a 'im', right? And can you provide the manual reference ?
