ishadwg Member Joined: 8/9/2021 Last visit: 10/3/2023 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi friends, i need help! We have Simatic IPC 547D with BIOS password locked. I can't find any pin/jumper to reset CMOS on the motherboard. I have tried to unplug the battery for hours but still locked.

If not, the alternative could be to send the IPC to the Siemens Repair Center for a reset. This process can only be performed once and will reset all manually made BIOS settings to their default values. Best regards!

collinsd70 Advanced Member Joined: 12/23/2016 Last visit: 8/28/2025 Posts: 82 Rating: (5)	unfortunatley the newer SIMATIC IPC/ PG's did away with CMOS jumpers and storing of the password in battery buffered memory, the only way now is to contact your local siemens rep to have the machine sent in for clearing. also worth noting, they will only do this once per machine, make sure you document whatever your new password is set to to avoid a repeat situation.
