I suggest you use the “measure” bit in the tool status, which is $TC_TP8. This link should go to the section in the Tool Management document that covers tool data. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109801248/143923174411 You need the internal tool number as an index. For the current active tool, this is $P_TOOLNO. You can use B_AND and B_OR to check and set the measure bit as needed. HTH |

Very good and professional answer , Steve, I don't know, for Neil is it too complex to deal with system variables and logical operations . so I suggest him to contact OEM, or using Programming Guide Advanced, here i can attach Tool Management Doc
