Good afternoon everyone, so continuing on from my last thread (Axis not enabling - 326055 - Industry Support Siemens) I have 2 big problems which may be related. Quick recap: This machine was working but the client colsed up shop and started cutting the machine down to sell it for scrap until my boss saw it and bought it off of them. The problem was that all the cables were cut and i had to order new ones, also i had to load up an old saved backup and connect other devices that were thrown on the floor. So after ordering everything and connecting it up i had topology errors which prevented me from moving the machine. After realising that i had some sensor modules in the wrong order i was able to move the machine using the encoders from the motors but not the external encoders. Three external encoders (X,Y,Z) have sensor modules from siemens SME One external encoder (Spindle pos) has a SMC sensor module And they are connected to a siemens hub. So i have two problems.... 1, On the topology for the SMC (spindle) it appears in red even though i have it connected in the right place and i changed the cable for a new one. Does this mean the SMC is broken or can i test it another way? Also when i try to add a component or configure from the sinumerik 840dsl is fails (photo) 2, The second problem that i have is with the encoders so i have a siemens rotary encoder plugged into the SME (Z axis) but when i activate it , it says encoder not found. Does that have anything to do with the topology? |
