Hello, For security reasons it's best to always update the firmware to the latest version. Since we have different customers with different hardware, it can be pretty hard and time consuming to keep track of all the newest firmware versions. Some components have a page with all the firmware versions on it. Those seem to be updated when a new version is released. For example: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/40362228 Other components just seem to just get a new page when there is a new firmware version. For what I can tell there isn't really a method to check if this really is the latest version. For example: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109756088 I've found a Telegram channel from Siemens in which they post updates (https://telegram.me/s/siemens_support_products). With the search functionality you can search for an article number and see the latest update for this device. However, this latest update is not always the firmware, there could be multiple articles about the specific device before you see the firmware of it. The most ideal solution is to have some software in which you can enter the list of article numbers that you want to check so it can display the latest firmware versions of all the article numbers. However, I don't think Siemens has this kind of software (or maybe I didn't find it). Does anyone have an idea or maybe any tips about how to keep track of the firmware updates for all different devices? Many thanks in advance! |
