It's only possible to back up a physical PLC project. The manual states that PLCSIM Advanced can perform a full backup of a PLCSIM Advanced instance, but it doesn't mention anything about the loaded project: "SIMATIC S7-1500 S7-PLCSIM Advanced V2.0: Backing up and restoring the configuration of a PLCSIM Advanced instance" Best regards!
