Hello rogelio; The SureServo SVA-2100 is a product from Automation direct, and you will find the basic manual here: https://cdn.automationdirect.com/static/manuals/sureservomanual/sureservomanual.pdf As you can see from chapter 6 in the manual, the protocol supported is Modbus RTU, over RS-485 RS-422or RS-232, depending on your selection in the drive parameters. "The SureServo drive Communications Parameters listed below must be set using the SureServo Pro software or the drive keypad unless the defaults are appropriate for your application. For a detailed explanation of all SureServo Parameters, refer to Chapter 4." If you are unfamiliar with Modbus RTU exchanges, I suggest you start with our friend smiffy's excellent presentation, you will need to understand basic terms and Modbus functions before you start your programming. Modbus General Description : The manual above contains examples of connecting a SureServo drive to an Automation Direct PLC (Automation direct has its own line of CPUs). The following document will show you how to program the S7-1200 as a Modbus RTU master for your project. How do you establish a MODBUS-RTU communication with STEP 7 (TIA Portal) for the SIMATIC S7-1200? https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/us/en/view/47756141 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
