Unable to Save Parameter Sets on HMI Unified – System Alarms Active

Two system alarms are active: Storage medium not available. Tag: SD-X51 Manager (WCCILPaCo) is not connected As a result, I can no longer save new parameter sets from the HMI panel. When I enter values in an existing parameter set, they are automatically reset to 0. It seems that the HMI is unable to store or retain the modifications. Could these system alarms be the cause of this behavior? And if so, how can I resolve the issue? The storage device is physically inserted and detected. The panel is connected to the network, but the connection to the manager appears to be lost. Thank you in advance for your support.

Stefan Arcularius Platinum Expert Joined: 1/21/2013 Last visit: 9/8/2025 Posts: 4093 Rating: (633)	Hi Oualid Babaaissa, Did you set the X51 as the storage medium for your parameter set type? The alarms you mentioned indicate that the storage medium in the X51 interface is unavailable. They also indicate that the Parameter Control service is not connected to its storage. Therefore, make sure the storage medium is available. Even if it is available, removing and replugging the medium may trigger the mounting service and resolve the alarm issue. I honestly do not know if the Parameter Control service will attempt to connect to the storage cyclically. Restarting the runtime ensures that all processes restart as well. Kind regards Stefan

I’ve resolved the SD card issue—the alarm related to the X51 storage is now cleared. Regarding the Parameter Set Type, I’ve now configured the storage to be on Internal. However, a new issue persists: From the Parameter Set View on the HMI, I cannot modify the values and i cannot save them or transfer them to the PLC. Interestingly, I can retrieve parameter sets from the PLC without any issue. Also, everything works perfectly in simulation, which makes me think the problem might be related to the runtime environment on the actual panel. how i can solve this issue?
