Hi,

I have a broken OSM BC08 on my network and do not have intention on replacing it by a used one because it is an obsolete part.

In the file attached you can see how my network is and how i tried to manage it without the broken OSM. Tried to use two OMC TP11 as a point to point connection but it didn't work. The error LED is always lit.

Would the Scalance X101-1 work in the way i tried to work with the OMC TP11?

If not, what alternative do i have?

Update:

It works. Both fiber optical and ethernet cable must be connected. If one of them is disconnected the module enters the error state.
