“Error in Lower-Level component”

Hi

“Error in Lower-Level component” with

IM151-8 (ET200S) #6ES7 151-8AB01-0AB0

MMC #6ES7953-8LG30-0AA0.

Portal V13 SP1 Update 5

Everting is new, and I have the Faulty LED SF light up.

All hardware modules are ok, in green state. The only one that have problem is the CPU with SF light up and Online status= Error, error in lower-level component but the CPU is running, all hardware are running.
Can someone help me to solve that issue?

 please go to stop mode and download your program again. if there is not any change, please repeat again for one time.

pls check if you don't have some Force variables runing, in Force table or check Watch table too. If yes, Stop Forcing.

EDIT: look at your HW cfg, somewhere I saw problem with RED color of cable between station and switch, in this case maybe problem with HW cfg, so look for exactly same types with firmware of CPUs, cards,...

I check 

There is no force at all.

There is no switch with red line.

Only have IM151-8 connected to HMI TP900 directly.

Still SF led but no problem any where else!

I'm going out on a hunch here, but I wonder if you have used "Topology View" in TIA Portal and connected the CPU and HMI with a nice looking "green line"?

If so, the easy fix is to delete this green line in "Topology View" (note that this will NOT affect "Network View"), compile and download and your SF will go away.

If you want to keep and use Topology features, please read up on how to do so and what to look out for in the TIA Portal online help (I can't see the need for topology configuration as you only have a PLC and HMI directly connected with a patch cable).

I did use the “Topology View" with a nice looking "green line". Next time I will remove it and I will see, hope that was my problem.

I faced the same problem for ET200S. Check your hardware configuration, all the modules in the hardware configuration should be equal/match to actual hardware. Still your problem is not solved then reconfigure all the modules newly one by one, this will solve the "Error in Lower-Level component".

Hi, for solve this error go to Online menu and follow click in "Extended download to device".
