Hi All,

I'm using an S7 1511-1PN CPU which from the data sheet has a 10000 node maximum when acting as a server. I've configured the PLC in TIA Portal to have the max number of registered nodes along with monitored items set to 10000. Yet when making a server interface, I will get an error stating “,The maximum number of OPC UA nodes has been exceeded (Defined: 1507, Allowed: 1000). Delete or disable OPC UA server interfaces or reduce the number of nodes below the imported files.”.

What am I doing wrong for this to occur? 

Siemens TIA Portal V17. I have the 1511-1 PN on firmware V2.9

It is a limit tha depends on the FW Version.

If you look in the technical data of a VW2.9 PLC:

In newer PLCs and FW Versions this limit is much higher
