Does Comfort Panel able to communicate with Beckhoff PLC?

Existing TP177B is communicate with Beckhoff PLC through Profibus.

Now need to change the TP177B to comfort panel.

I got no idea how the TP177B work since there is no Beckhoff communication driver inside the touch screen.

 Anyone know how to do it?

Does your Beckhoff PLC support OPC UA? a Comfort Panel could be used as OPC UA Client or Server . This could be an alternative.

With Profibus I know no direct communication driver

would be interesting which Communication driver the TP177B used. do youhave the WinCC flexible program?

Modbus TCP could also be an option if the PLC Supports it

I don't have the project file for Wincc Flexible.

If change to OPC UA I think Beckhoff side need to add license.

I saw GSD file for Siemens HMI can download from Siemens website, but how to use it?

Beckhoff can add the GSD file, but what should set in HMI program?

I believe that through DP you could only access the Comfort Panel keys.

For this application, as Murof has commented, communicating via OPC UA would be recommended.
