Dear Siemens friends,

When working with a colleague on the same project we have to archive, send and restore the project all the time back and forth.
I now wanted to create a pack and go of several PXC3 controllers, so I could keep working on the light programming and my colleague could continue with his HVAC (PXC4,5,7).

I can:

1. prepare Pack and Go in ABT Pro

2. pack and go several PXC3 controllers into one package

3. open the pack and go file in another ABT Site instance

but rightclick controller "Go to ABT Pro" is greyed out. When double clicking I get an empty TIA Portal.

When switching to Advanced tab in ABT Site it seems there is no ABT Pro project.

Some bits of it must be "in there" since when I change the view in Building structure from "show automation stations" to "show rooms & plants" I can still see my programmed Room Segments:

Can anyboy tell me if I misinterpreted the pack&go command or if this use is not intended?
Is there a different method to break out parts of a project to engineer simultaneously?

When checking this thread, the post from @CJ. suggests, pack&go should work similar to check in check out from XWorks. Xworks Pack & Go

It seems this usage is not intended.
Pack and Go in ABT-Site is only meant to be used for commissioning of PXC4, 5, 7 Controller entirely engineered in ABT-Site.
When saving the project in ABT Pro (TIA) and trying to "check out" the project that way, it can not be reopened because the project is missing the building structure provided by ABT-Site when opening the project the correct way through ABT-Site.
One solution provided by Siemens Technician which I think is a good workaround:
Export the programmed controllers via a custom library.
Create a Dummy Project in ABT-Site - open ABT-Pro - program all Controllers you need to and then pack all of them in a library.
This library can then be opened in the acutal project and all controllers can be just drag and dropped from the library.

This seems to be one of the safest way of exporting program parts ore different controllers.
Bettter then copying or trying to add those controllers in the ABT Site project from another project.

I've to be not agree with this workaround. 

This is not correct. For correct sharing of the ABT Pro projects is neccesarry to use XWP as part of the engineering tool.

There are several possibilities for export project ABT Pro.

If you use BOS (Branch Office Server) - web based SW storage - then is simple job - one person take project A (check out) and second person take another project - e.q. project B. 

Siemens will implement same functionality later in one of the next versions of ABT Site, but not in the present. 

Another workround - without BOS, but with XWP - there is possible create "export to" or "check out to" and then all neccessary files are ziped to a file - archive and then you can open this archive on another PC with XWP and work there. Then you do archive on 2nd PC and deliver the file to main PC and here can be done "Check in from". 

This is very correct workround for this case.
