Hi

Could someone point me at the correct firmware download version 3.3 for 6SE7018-0EA61 Simovert VC drive.

After a many hours managed to program it having reloaded the firmware.

I now have a fault F116 which I understand is a problem on my T300 technology board with TSY 2.52 eprom

I am now rechecking my work to make sure it has the correct firmware, as the model 6SE7018-0EA61 is not referred to in any firmware 3.3 link I can find

yes thanks for the reply.

Thats the procedure I have followed and I think I now have version 3.4.

The problem I now have is when reload my saved CUVC upload file part way through the procedure when I install the standard factory set the drive goes into F116.

pressing P key shows a 3

I suspect this is due to the technology board address being changed.

In my working drive it shows as P918 .001   3

On failing drive P918 3   3

So possibly my download procedure may be at fault ?

The preliminary file I load is MASTERDRIVES VC(CUVC)_tm

I have attached the file

Hi, this file does not include any technology parameters, did you upload the technology parameters from the old drive, or just the CUVC parameters?

You can usually tel technology parameters, as they have a D or an H prefix as opposed to a P, U or R prefix on a standard parameter set.

I am working to a set of instructions supplied by one of our support contractors and learning as I go.I suspect the answer will be get on to our live working drive and do a complete upload.

Step one is to load MASTERDRIVES VC(CUVC)_tm.doc into drive monitor

Followed by many steps of modifying parameters then 

file - download - save to eprom RSD_C_Standard_CUVC (attached)

The drive goes into F116 before I get to this stage at a point where I Change P060 to 7 

Goes into a Device identification request.

"A technology board has been detected but no technology type has been configured."

and options to generate a data base.

yes I have done a factory reset each time before attempting a config.

The drive or drive monitor appears to not be able to find the technology board but knows it is installed.
