Hi, here's the manual for RF1040R: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109978376 First you need to decide on the operating mode of RF1040. See page 33. 1. Unidirectional data receipt without using the programming interface or 2. Read and write user memory
If 1. is sufficient for your use case, the reader will send the data to RF120C as soon as a transponder is presented. The presence Bit and LED will indicate new data, that can be obtained using the Read command. In this case you'll need to load a configuration into the RF1040R using the config editor. |

This is my first project with such a hardware configuration. I have been trying to do something for 2 days but there are no results. I installed all the programs, tried to configure RF1040r, reread many pdf files but again the result did not go further than what I came here with. |

Is 1. (Unidirectional data receipt without using the programming interface) sufficient for your use case? Is the UID or some Bytes of Data all you need? Maybe you can share your config? |

My configuration is exactly the same as your screenshot. Yes, it would be nice for me to at least read the UID of the card, but I still can't read anything. I'm already wondering if they are really compatible with each other, I mean RF120C and RF1040r? |
