Hello AutoGen_6902476, the S7-300 is controlling a machine, which cannot be easily modified. In such a scenario adding a CP 343-1 to the S7-300 is not an appropriate method. In such a scenario you will need to adopt the S7-1500 side to the given possibilities. In your situation that is PROFIBUS. The S7-1500 offers CM/ CP1542-5 for such communications. Keep in mind, that PUT/ GET communications are single sided. That means the S7-300 will never notice, that you changed values inside the data blocks. It is considered insecure and should be avoided when possible. When a change in the running system is possible, then Murof's answer is OK. |
