Salutations. This post was moved from the S7-1500 Hardware forum to this TIA Portal software forum as it is perhaps more appropriate here. My current task involves migrating an S7-300 program to an S7-1500. In case it matters . . . Original Processor: CPU 319 F-3 PN/DP, FW V3.2 My customer would prefer to keep the existing HMI solution, a 3rd party system, without changes if possible. The original PLC program involved a know-how protected network diagnostic block, PNIODiag, provided by Siemens. You may find it at this link: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/us/en/view/98278878 Siemens offers an updated way of doing network diagnostics for the S7-1500 (and the 1200 also). A good application example that I am attempting to adapt may be found at https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/68011497 The new application example provides information similar to the original code with one exception. In the original function, the state of a networked device included a bit to indicate whether the device was operating with DPV1 features. Hence, instead of simply indicating an OK status, the state value would provided a distinct indication that the device was OK according to DPV1. The other message states (e.g. Faulted, Maintenance Req, Deactivated, etc.) had a correspondingly modified value if the device in question was a DPV1 unit. In the S7-1500 example application, this indication does not seem to be provided. Can anyone suggest how to duplicate this diagnostic feature using functionality available to the S7-1500 CPU? Many thanks, |
