MM40 doesn't start the motor

I have a problem with my MM440 running remotely.

I use terminal 5 (DIN 1) for starting the motor, P701 = 1 (ON/OFF), all other paramers for DI are 0 - disabled (P702 - P708).

P700 = 2

P1000 = 2

Frequency is controlled by the AI1 (0 - 10 V), and that is working fine.

The DIN 1 is connected correctly and it is getting input (+24 VDC) on terminal 5 when the START is given. But the MM40 doesnt start the motor (like there is no command for the START or the remote control isnt activated - but i put parameter P700 to 2 - terminal comand source ).

I tried changing the DI at terminal 6, but it was the same.

Could someone give me advice what to do next?

look at r722, these are the binary input values.

These are shown in the manual a a bit pattern, but the bit for digital in put 0, is a vertical line in the bottom right hand corner of this display.

Operate the digital input and this should be on and off as you lift terminal 5 high.

If this fails apply the same 24 Volt high signal to terminal 6, this will be the next bit to the left in the display.

If you find that terminal 5 is not working then make the run command from terminal 6 instead.

These inputs can be 'stuffed' with high transients, which can be generated by long digital input cables. See how it goes, good luck..

I had similar issue today.

The drive was wired with an external +24V but the 0v was connected to terminal 9.

If you are using your own external 24V, your start 24V should go to terminal 5,6,7 or 8 (Parameters P0701 - P0704) while your 0v should go to terminal 28.

Then set parameters:

P0700 to 2

P1000 to 2 (Analogue terminals 3&4) or 3 for fixed frequencies (P0701 - P0708)
