Can higher version step 7 CFC 9.0 license key work on lower version of CFC 8.1 software ?

If I have installed CFC 8.1 Software in Windows PC and I have CFC 9.0 license key . Will this higher version key (9.0) work on lower version of CFC software or not ? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from CFC V8.1 License Not Recognized.

ANUJ9891i Member Joined: 7/2/2019 Last visit: 7/31/2024 Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	"the data originate from a program created with CFCversion9.0 you can not edit the data with the installed CFC version please installversion9.0 or higher " Why this error is coming when I have installed CFC 8.1 Version software and I have used license key of CFC 9.0. I am trying to open any project or any new file then above error is displayed ? (ALM shows that license key is being used and shows green arrow symbol (which shows that license key does not have any issue) Can Anyone explain why this is happening however, License key is not showing any defective status.

In case it is a preexisting chart: The chart was most likely created with a CFC version of V9.0. It can not be opened with a lower version (V8.1). In case you created a new chart: Maybe the problem is that you are using a license for V9.0 but have installed V8.1. CFC might think it is V9.0 and generate charts with V9.0 but after trying to open it CFC recognizes that it is V8.1 and can't open it. I did not test this, maybe somebody else can tell if this is the problem. I believe the best way is to get a CFC V8.1 license. BR Nemorial
