Connection issue: customer using S7-400 and my equipment 1500 PLC

Hi guys,

Can't find the exact answer I need...

I have a S7400 CPU which should communicate with a S71500. Communication is done through Industrial Ethernet via Get/Put.

I'm aware that only one side has to be configured for Get/Put. In this case the S71500 will do that (active connection).

Do I still need to configure something on the S7400 side? Do I need to configure NetPro to use an unspecified s7 connection?

 If you configure on th s71500 side then you need to configure a connection with the unknown cpu ad feed the ip address , slot and rack number properly and configure a DB on both the CPu then I am sure you will get the desired result, And you need not to config on both the CPU

Also take care that in 1500 you need to check the option to allow access to GET/PUT communication available in CPU properties

Hi , i have connection issue here, my customer using S7-400 and my equipment is using 1500 PLC. i use the Put and get instruction because customer in DCS system they dont want make any program block establish and they only provide DB , Read and write for this case and control using SCADA Via Ethernet Ip address.

here are some weird stituation which i cant get connection and keep error all the time,i not sure what when wrong.

please advise, if can find out possible problem.
