Arasan Posts: 310 Rating: (18)	Dear Experts, Am new to handle in Desigo System . And I have many doute in desigo system . 1. My DDC device is PXM40 and PXG3.W100 .. ( What is the programming Software for PXM40 and PXG3.W100 ) ( What is the programming language for PXG3.W100 device ) 2. I want to log the data in desigo insight ( For that what is the programming software for Desigo insight ) (And how to configure and communicate the insight to PXG3.W100 and PXM40 Device ) ( If i want to communicate to Desigo insight to S7-200 PLC or other 3rd party device means , what are the protocol i can use and Please explain the communication details ..) You do not have to program the touch panel as the whole configuration is in the PXG3.W100 web server. You require the XWORKSplus (XWP) programming tool for the programming and configuration. The programming can be done in the XWP point configurator application. Please see in the Desigo documentation for further information. The Desigo Insight is the Desigo management station. Desigo provides various MMIs. Starting with the simple PXM20 operator terminal, the PXM40 and PXG3.W100 touch web operation and the more advanced Desigo Insight management station. Desigo Insight brings all the necessary tools for programming and configuration of the management station. You just need a valid license for the engineering applications. Desigo Insight cannot communicate with the PXM40 and PXG3.W100 as both are MMIs. Desigo Insight communicates with the Desigo PX or other BACnet controllers normally. In addition, Desigo Insight provides various 3^rd party drivers (e.g. OPC, Modbus, etc.) and proprietary support for Siemens legacy systems, like VISONIK, UNIGYR, INTEGRAL. You can integrate any Simatic S7 either via OPC or via dedicate profibus drivers. Integration via OPC (Profinet OPC) is the recommended way. There are several 3^rd party drivers available, but recommended is the integration via OPC. Please see the documentation for further information. Best regards, Albis

I searched internet and siemens site i didnot get any Programming Manual for Xworks plus And Communication manual for both PXM40 , PXG3.W100 . 2. Our field devices PXG3.W100 And PXM40 .Here we want to Log the Datas and reporting the Data With Connected Our Field device.. How to datas to log and reported . Please Kindly support this .. 3. Please kindly Send me the desigo manuals for Xworks Plus and Desigo Insight programming , communication manuals.. Thanks & regards, Arasan

Documentation You need the Desigo XWP engineering software and license anyway, if you plan to program the Desigo PX controllers or the PXG3.W100 web server. You should contact the local Siemens sales organization for this purpose. They can also provide the complete set of engineering documentation. There is one DVD with the complete set of the Desigo documentation. Some data sheets are accessible from the internet. Data logging You have to configure the trend log blocks (trnd) in the Desigo PXC controllers. The trend data can be visualized in the PXG3.W100 web server. For extensive trend recording and archiving we recommend to use the Desigo Insight management station. Desigo Insight provides also online trending, archiving and additional reporting features. 3. As mentioned above. Please contact the local Siemens sales organization for this purpose. They are glad to help you.
