Desigo Insight V4.0 and V3.0 are very old versions. E.g. Desigo Insight V3.0 was released in April 2007, V4.0 in March 2009. This means that the software is more than 10 years old.

The current Desigo PX controller firmware versions are not compatible with the old Desigo Insight versions. You have to upgrade to the current Desigo Insight V6.0 SP4.

There are several reasons why you should upgrade the system as soon as possible:

• Compatibility with the current Desigo PX controllers and Automation Stations
• Compatibility with the current operating system versions Windows 10 and Server 2019
• It security improvements
• Several other improvements and feature extensions
• Last possibility to upgrade is within the next 18 months

Please note that Desigo Insight is in the phase out process and it is not sold for new projects anymore. There is the service period running until end of 2021. You still get support and upgrades within this service period. I therefore recommend to upgrade the system now, as it will not be possible to get upgrades after the end of the service period.

An other option is to migrate the system to Desigo CC. Desigo CC is the successor of Desigo Insight, it is therefore future proved and it provides several new integrations, other new features and the support of the new controller generations.
