no is not possible.

WinCC 7.4 is a Scada System and Step7 and PLCSIM are PLC Engineering SW /Simulation.

So a Simulation of WinCC7.4 with Step7 and PLCSIM is not possible.

WinCC can not be simulated !

Or would you simulate a PLC and connect WinCC with this simulated PLC?

***do not run your live copy of the program on your ES*** Make a copy - there are some exceptions but lets keep it simple.

You can download your plc program to PLC sim and then run WinCC on the same computer to see it work. There might be some other small tweaks to set it up if you are running H processors. Move tags to TCP (not named connections)

If you are wanting to simulate your process, meaning turn pumps on and see feedback you will either have to write a simulation program in your PLC, or run a separate simulation software like PICs.
