Hello Dinabandhu; A *.mwp program is generated by S7-Microwin, a software different from Step 7, and used to program a S7-200 CPU, not more modern PLCs, such as the S7-300/400, or the newest S7-1200/1500. Here is a document that gives you more information on Microwin v4.0, now at SP9, the latest version produced. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ca/en/view/19300593 Microwin 4.0 SP9 will run under Win 7, as you can see here: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ca/en/view/58523240 However, the download you see in that link is only for service packs, you need to purchase the basis software, available from Siemens. If you choose to do so, I suggest that you contact your nearest Siemens distributor and inquire on price and delivery. As an alternative you could start working with a trial license for Step 7 v18 to learn programming for S7-1200 and S7-1500 CPUs, it is a free download and lets you access the software without restrictions for 21 days - after which you need to purchase a valid license. But it cannot work with a *.mwp file. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ca/en/view/109807109 Hope this helps , |
