Dear friends, I am just settings up my IOT2040 module. Looking upon node red node-red-contrib-s7 library I was surprised to see that it allows only reading actions from S7 PLCs. Is there a way to control outputs on Siemens S7 PLC using node red or any other workaround using IOT2040? Could you provide some hints? Have any of you guys connected IOT2000 series to cloud platforms like thingspeak ? Best regards, Mircea. |

Hi Mircea3M, yes, unfortunately the S7 node only supports reading data. With node-red there is no possibility to my knowledge. There is an application by user davenardella, just have a look at it, maybe it helps you :) I never connected the IOT2000 to thingspeak, but i did it with Watson IoT Platform and Azure. There are some nodes for node-red available. We will provide some application example soon. Best regards! |
Not working for IOT2050 support anymore from March 1st, 2024. |

It would be great if you could provide an example application to connect to any cloud platform. I am looking at connecting to a cloud platform (AWS). |
