Hello venugopal; Teleperm XP was developped by a separate division of Siemens, named Power Generation, dedicated to power plants. Teleperm XP is now called SPPA-T2000. The "normal" migration path from SPPA-T2000 is to SPPA-T3000, which supports the same basic power plant functionnalities. You can find more information on the Power Generation division website. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

The UPGRADE to latest Teleperm XP (SPPA T2000) to latest version is the best way. The Benefit : 1. You retain the FUM I/O's that not to be obsolete (also used in SPPA T3000). 2. You can upgrade S5 SIM I/O to S7 SIM I/O's 3. You retain all LOGIC/FUP Diagram, no re-commissioning necessary. only I/O check to be required. 4. The S5 CPU to be replaced with S7 CPU. The most important is to retain the logic/Fup diagram, so no effort for re-comissioning whole plant. you can imagine coal fired power plant with 10000 I/O's plus. Upgrade from S5 based to S7 based is strigh forward. http://instrumentandcontrol.blogspot.com/2008/07/upgrade-teleperm-xp-s5-to-s7-sppa-t2000.html |
