Multi User Engineering

Hello Everybody,
I need the help of the siemens community.

I'm actually working on PCS7 v8.2 projet with 2 ES, 1 OS and 3 OSC.

I want to do multi user engineering with my two ES on the same project.

Actually, I can do it with the AS part, modify the same CFC on the two ES at the same time but I've got a problem with the multi OS enginnering.

I have activated the tick in Simatic manager (select MP and activated OS multi user engineering).

But I'm my slave ES, I don't see the projects under WinccApplication.

Can anybody know if there is a specific things to do.

I have pass a lot of time and i'm a little bit short of solution.

I have already follow the documentation and open the project on the remote ES using your manipulation.

Like you said

"- Open Simatic Manager on the remote ES and click on File->Open and navigate to the main ES (where the project is located)."
And for the As part it works very well.

The problem is that I don't see my Wincc projet under the Winccapplication like the screenshot i attached on the first post.

Hello nicopoi,

I suggest you to verify the software version/license that is installed in the ES. It seems to me that you don't have the correct software to open this project.

We have installed the same software on the 2 ES and we 've got the same license in automation license manager on both ES.

Check if your project folder is properly shared in the network. Normally when using a project shared with many computers, you have to retrieve the project accordingly, in the way that you have the rights to access remotely. Therefore, when you open the project locally, you can see the related project folder like this: \\COMPUTERNAME\COMPUTERDRIVE\PROJECT_FOLDER instead of COMPUTERDRIVE:\PROJECT_FOLDER. Additionaly, double check the settings inside WinCC application.

We have created a map network drive which pointing on our multi project folder.

I join the screen of the project open on remote ES, you can see the path \\COMPUTERNAME\COMPUTERDRIVE\PROJECT_FOLDER.

Which settings inside Wincc application we have to check ?

We automatically done the simatic rights on the projet folder when we create a new project.

configure the network adapter for the terminal bus in the SIMATIC Shell on the ES client and it should solve the issue.
