node-red behind proxy

I have an IoT 2050 using the Example Image V1.2.2.

I need to send some data using node-red to the mindsphere using the mindConnect node and my IoT2050 can only access the internet via our proxy.

I have configured the proxy, made it persistent, set the route and it is running as expected.

The problem I am having is that when node-red autostarts once the system boots, the mindconnect cannot reach mindsphere since it does not use the proxy to communicate.

When I stop the node-red service and start node-red manually, it works (comm. via proxy).

What do I have to do, so that the automatic service also goes via the proxy?

Just wanted to add an answer, since after about a week troubleshooting I found the problem right after posting the question here.

First I used the nmcli to add the proxy route permanently:

nmcli connection modify "<<Interface Name>>" +ipv4.routes "<<My proxy address>> <<My gateway>>"

Then I had to add the proxy configuration to the node-red.service located in:

/lib/systemd/system/node-red.service

After that In the [Service] definition I added the following line:

Environment="HTTP_PROXY=my-proxy-server-address" (Source - RPi)

After that I rebooted the IoT and everything worked as I wanted.
