Dear Poya_xp, I have succeeded in the past to connect my step7 to my plc device by means of virtual machine. (I was usingwindows 7 64bit and as virtual machine windows xp prosp3). I was also struggling to make this work. After looking back, for me the solution was quite simple. I installed the usb adapterdrivers, afterwards I connected my mpi cable and clicked on attach USB in my virtual machine. Do not forget toredirect the usb device in the virtual machine, this was the mistake I've made. Hope this helps for you, Kr Jens Check out following steps (source: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee449448(v=WS.10).aspx): To redirect a USB device to a virtual machine

I've had similar issues as listed here... /tf/WW/en/Posts/110297#top The problem turned out to be XP Mode not supporting USB 3. I'm guessing that you are using a different virtual machine and so possibly this is not the problem, but it gives you something else to check. Hope you get it working soon!
