PC Adapter USB A2 with S7-300 PLC

Dear All,

I have Windows 7 professional 32bit laptop with simatic manager v5.5 software.And also i have Simatic PC Adapter USB A2.With the help of that i am trying to connect with S7-300(CPU 314IFM) PLC.But it is not communicate with PLC.

For that should i want to install PC Adapter USB A2 Driver software.

If possible,Can Anybody send that driver software?

Please tell me the instruction to connect with PLC...

SIMATIC STEP 7 V5.5 and other SIMATIC software products released for Windows 7 already include the required driver for the SIMATIC USB Prommer and the PC Adapter USB (part of SIMATIC Device Drivers).

In SIMATIC STEP 7 V5.5 and other SIMATIC software products released for Windows 7, the required driver for the SIMATIC USB Prommer and the PC Adapter USB are part of SIMATIC Device Drivers. A separate installation of the drivers as before via the CD supplied together with the PC Adapter resp. USB Prommer is thus no longer necessary.

Please check the Settings in the PG PC interface and the connection with PLC.

How and to which PLC are you trying to connect. and what are the settings in PG PC Interface.
Normally if you are not sure about the  type of network and Baud rate , you can try "Auto" settings and use the "Detect Network" option.

How do you assign the parameters of the PG/PC interface in general and what is the remedy if the device driver cannot be selected or is not visible?

but usually the drivers gets installed as we plug in to usb but may be there can be problem with it

for first plug your Adapter to USB port and look to Device Manager on your computer. Your adapter should be detected there and installed without error. If your adapter cant be properly detected/installed, in this case I'll be try install drivers or plug to other USB port to find exact problem.

In Device manager page, I got the simatic pc adapter USB A2 identification same like the attached picture.If I click it then driver is not installed message is appeared.Please give me the suggestion to solve the problem.

Also take care that you are connecting on CPU to MPI port.

Installed S7 Software : Simatic manager v5.5

SIMATIC PC ADAPTER USB A2 is available

I was tried to install PC ADAPTER USB 10/2007 driver software.But it was aborted with the following error message,"The conditions for a successful installation are not fulfilled. Version V8.1 is installed on your computer. This Setup cannot install version V2.0 over V8.1".

So simatic pc adapter USB A2 Driver is already installed on my laptop.But while connecting that pc adapter,"Driver is not installed" message is coming.

Please give me a solution to connect my laptop to S7-300 PLC through simatic pc adapter USB A2.

can you pls post Picture of that PC Adapter, better both sides? Is original Siemens adapter or China? This looking strange...
