There is a list of MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) here. How can I calculate the reliability of SIEMENS products by this data. I mean MTTF (Mean Time To Failure) or service life under normal conditions. For a LOGO! 0BA8 230 RCE the MTBF is 93 years. It’s a bit unrealistic that this device can be works 24/7 for 93 years (I think!). Anyway this a is mechanical device and its relays has a limitation for total number of switching times. Under what conditions this data calculated and what is the relation between MTBF and MTTF in normal conditions of temperature, humidity and load ? For example: For a LOGO! 0BA8 230 RCE what is the limitation for maximum switching times for its mechanical relays?(max. per minute, max per hour, max per day and total maximum) In the case of a protected and controlled voltage input and a relay-board connected to the output of LOGO relays( for spark protection) How many years a LOGO! 230 RCE can works 24/7 without any failure ? or what is the mean expected service life under this conditions? |

I have a little bit of understanding for this question, but how is the forum supposed to give you an answer? To worry about such a device, which does not cost even 150, - €. If you want more details, then start a Support Request, maybe you'll get answers from Siemens. On your question here in the forum Siemens will not answer you directly. |
